4 boys 5yrs and under means one crazy busy momma at Christmas. Nurse baby, wrap a gift, change a diaper, fill a sippy cup, change another diaper, break up a fight, etc etc you get the picture. Obviously I totally spaced and didn't post the winner of the Kate's Kitchen cartridge.

CTMH RIBBON & BOX FOR SALE

Trying to declutter a little, so selling off this ctmh box of ribbon - don't worry I have way more than I need ;0) There's 65 rolls of ribbon, all but three still in the wrapper. The three without the wrapper don't look like I ever used them. I think a flat rate box would be the best way to ship to protect the ctmh box. $11 to ship and $50 for the box and ribbon.

A little Christmas cricut subway art

Hi all, as you can see, I'm not quite posting as frequently as I'd like to yet. The holidays with 4 boys 5 years and under get pretty hectic with a hubby busy at work. These last few days I've made 5 dozen Christmas sugar cookies and decorated them with my 5 and 3yr old (what a fun candy mess all over my dinner table!), made and decorated salt dough ornaments, pulled out the Christmas decorations and have begun to dec the tree and house (note, I said begun not finished), and attempted to create some fun crafty decs. Here's a little wall art I made with my cricut and the word collage cartridge. I'm hoping to add a few snowflakes here and there, but hey, we'll see if that actually happens before the holidays end.

Just a little subway art to brighten up my fire place. The background paper is from the Believe paper pack by Close to My Heart, and just their standard white daisy card stock for the letters. I really love this cartridge as with a little tweaking on your gypsy, you've got a whole bunch of titles for all your scrapbooking needs or shrink them down for cards.Lately I've really focused on trying to make do with what we have, that includes the crafting department. So, I came up with the idea of using on of my shelves from my Michaels mdf storage cubes. This is what I used to mount the subway art on. It's really amazing what you can find around your house and create into something beautiful. I challenge you to find something in your house this week and create something fun with it.
Hope you're all enjoying the Christmas season, embracing your loved ones and truly being thankful for what you have.

Daddy plays the numerous Lego video games with them and they looooove the Lego movies. So, mummy must get over my hatred for toys with a bazillion pieces and raise some fund to buy my little cherubs some Lego's for Christmas. So, head on over to my clearance page to find more goodies new and used at awesome prices!

Christmas is a comin', ya ready?

Getting closer and closer to Christmas, having moved from Seattle to Sacramento this past September, there's a little sadness in the Bryant household. We miss our family oh so much and during the holiday season, it's making it a little difficult to remain content being here.

So, did I mention we moved 10 days after the home birth of my 4th little guy? Yeah - call me crazy, I deserve it! Trying to get ready for the holidays, I pulled out a box with a bunch of cards and miscellaneous crafts I made last Christmas. Here's a few cards I totally cased off  Leanna, a fellow Close To My Heart consultant. For some reason, that last one's a little crooked, no thanks to my scanner. All cards use Mistletoe, a retired paper pack that I hoarded 'cause it's so stinking cute. Also used is Cocoa, Cranberry, and Colonial white cardstock.

Best choc chip scones EVER!!

A lot has being going on these past few weeks, the Royal wedding (despite being a Brit, I'm yet to check out the pics), Osama Bin Laden is dead and we found out we're having our 4th boy. Woo hoo! 4 wonderful blessings from the Lord that hubby and I are overwhelmed with such joy.

This past weekend we attended the Christian Heritage NW homeschooling conference. Though our eldest won't be 5 until the Fall, we thought that this was a perfect opportuinty to get as muich info as possible. Prior to the conference, I was really unsure whether I would homeschool or not. Having met such wonderful people and seen that it's actually possible, even without a degree, we have glady chosen to homeschool or kiddos.

So, before I go, I have to share my fav choc chip recipe with you. My friend made these frequently during our single days. I think she may have originally got the recipe from one of my sisters, either way they always trun out amazing.

here's what you'll need:
1 cup flour
2 tbs sugar
1tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
half a stick of butter (soft or melted)
1 egg.
A few hand fulls of choc chips depending on how chocolately you like them to be.

Combine the dry incredients and then add in the butter until fully combined. Beat in the egg until a dough is formed. Then work in your choc chips, place on a lighlty floured surface. I like to make it into a low dome shape and then cut into 4 wedges. Put a little milk on the top of each one and sprinke a little extra sugar. Place on cookie sheet and bake for 8 mins at 450degrees on your middle rack until golden brown on the top.
Note: You can double or triple the recipe to make more without it effecting the yumminess of these. One batch just makes 4 average size scones, so you may want to double it anyway.

I just love how quick these are to make. I use my kitchen aid mixer, so they are super quick and I can be getting on with other stuff while the mixer is doing all the work. I think I made these in the entire time it took for my kettle to boil water.
Enjoy :0)

Life in general

So I always have the best of intentions to keep my blog updated. However, as you can see I haven't be too successful. I think that it's sometimes from the lack of completed artwork I have and therefore feel I have nothing to share.

Sooooo, that will be changing. I'm trying to be better at finishing projects and posting even when I don't have something artsy to share. I love to bake and cook, so I hope to share some yummy recipes and just general things about being the stay at home momma I am.

Two things I'm really looking forward to, 1) in just a few weeks we'll find out the gender of baby #4. A girl would be fab, but would certainly take another boy to add to my 3 little rascals (isn't that pic adorable?).

2) Close to My Heart convention in July held at the Disneyland hotel. Can you think of anywhere better? not me. Two of my great loves, crafts and Disney.

CTMH Mayberry 6x6 Album

Whipped this up yesterday with my Mayberry Level 1 paper pack. I just added one sheet of cocoa cardstock and still have plenty left over from the kit to make cards, or a few more layouts. looove the level 1 pack, but sadly they are being discontinued at the end of July. Sooo, if you like this album or just want to play around with CTMH Level 1 packs, now is the time to order before they start selling out. They're great for making 2 2 page layouts, however, my personal fav way use them is to cut 'em up and make 6x6 albums like this one.
